SHOW YOUR BIG HEART

We have just stepped into October, a month in which most of the people look forward to blankets, scented candles, hot tea and evenings saved for reading books or watching your favourite TV series.

However, it is estimated that there are approximately 2,000 homeless people, or people who do not have a permanent home, in Croatia while almost 10,000 people do not have basic living conditions in their household. There are people with dramatic life stories behind the numbers that make the statistics. Charity event called ‘5 Kuna for a Better World’ is intended for them.

At a price of only 5 kuna, which is how much you will pay for a piece of cake and a glass of sparkling wine this year at City Center one Birthday celebration, you will give your contribution to the Homeless Shelter at Velika Kosnica. The shelter provides accommodation for 150 people, and in addition to an overnight stay the users can get clothes and shoes, have a warm meal and take care of their personal hygiene. Also, each user of homeless shelter services can receive support and assistance from a social worker to help them regarding social inclusion in the community.

Charity point of sale at City Center one East and West will be open from 3 PM to 9 PM on Friday, 11^th October, from 10 AM to 9 PM on Saturday, 12^th October and from 10 AM to 8 PM on Sunday, 13^th October. The charity event will be hosted by some well-known personalities: Boris Mirković, Doris Pinčić Rogoznica, Iva Šulentić and Danijel Bilić, joined by actors, singers, TV hosts, chefs and many other public personalities.

Do remember that we may not be able to change the whole world, but we can certainly change the world of one person. Therefore, perform a small act of kindness that will make a huge difference!
