OUTSTANDING SUSTAINABILITY

If you want to change the world, start in your own backyard, many would say. Guided precisely by this thought, City Center one West  and East have taken significant steps to meet high standards when it comes to sustainability and thus contribute to the preservation of the local community and the planet Earth. Now, a major recognition of their efforts has arrived – the international BREEAM certificate, which awarded the Centers an outstanding rating when it comes to sustainability.

Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology, or BREEAM for short, is a certification system that measures the sustainability of buildings and thus ensures the best quality at the highest level of certification. Its technical standards evaluate the entire building concept in 10 different categories, and grades are awarded according to performance.

City Center one West and East thus achieved excellent grades in the categories of health & well-being, energy efficiency, water consumption, transport and traffic accessibility, pollution, land use & ecology, waste management, ecological materials and, finally, the building resilience.

This certificate is a confirmation of the commitment that City Center one West and East devotes to the topic of sustainability, but also an incentive for further efforts to show by example that even the smallest step towards a more sustainable business is significant in order to ensure a better future for all of us. And that’s why we are proud of the BREEAM certificate!
