City Center one Welcomes New Neighbours

Bee hotels for wild, or solitary, bees have been installed on the green area in front of the centre. These small, hardworking and completely harmless pollinators play a vital role in preserving biodiversity. Unlike honey bees, solitary bees do not live in hives, produce honey, or defend a colony, which means they are non-aggressive and perfectly safe around people.

Although tiny, their impact is enormous. By pollinating plants, they help them grow, bloom and bear fruit, contributing to healthy plant communities, food production and the overall balance of nature. However, as natural habitats continue to disappear, many pollinator species are losing suitable nesting sites.

That is why these bee hotels, made from natural materials, have been installed to create new safe spaces where wild bees can nest and reproduce. In short: a little more greenery, a little more buzzing, and a lot more benefits for nature.
